• What is the card good for?

WINELINE Wine Tourist Cards make you eligible for the discount offered by the participating businesses at the premises listed on the web page.

• What is the percentage of the discount?

The actual percentage of the discount is set by the businesses themselves but it cannot be lower than 10 percent.

• Can I only buy wine at a discount price with the Wine Tourist Card?
It is not only wine that you can buy at a discount price. You can get a discount with the card for the purchase of various products and services.

• What are the areas where I can get a discount with the card?
You can get a discount
in wineries when visiting cellars, tasting or purchasing wine,
at hotels, other accomodation providers and camp-sites to get a discount price,
in restaurantseither for all your consumption or in case of wine suppers or special events,
in wine shops but not only for wine purchase,
at wine and gastronomy festivals forentrance fees,
during your travels for train and coach fares,
with travel agents forpackage tours
and a number of other places related to spare time activities.

• What kind of cards are there to choose from?
You can choose between two types of cards, which are identical as far as the services available with them. They only differ in their time of validity and in their appearance and in the way you can ac•uire them.

14-day cards
12-month cards

• Where can I purchase cards?

You can order them online on the hungarianwineguide.hu web page or

personally/in person at our official retailers as well.

• How long can I use my card? Are the cards valid?
14-day cards are valid until the 24th hour of the 13th day after their first use,
and one-year cards until the 24th hour of the last day of the month indicated as the year and month of expiry on the card..

• How much does the card cost?
The 14-day card is 2400 HUF
the one-year card is 3800HUF
including VAT.

• What other costs are involved when I order online?
Cards ordered through the web page are mailed to their owners free of charge in the territory of Hungary.

• How can I receive the discount?
Before your bill or receipt is made out you must indicate that you want to use your card and get a discount. Personnel at the premises might want to check the validity of the card.


• Can I use discount option together with other offers?
No, you cannot get a discount together with other offers..
You can get a discount from the price of products that are offered at a special price but in such cases the discount offered for card holders will be deduced from the original, not the special retail price.

• How can one join the system as a participating business?
If interested to join our network, please contact us, or you can instantly registeryour business in our system. We set up a contract with our registered partners.

• Who can be a card retailer/distributor?
Only retailers having a valid contract with Wineline ltd. can distribute the cards. Participating businesses can also act as card retailers. The current/updated list of card retailers can be checked at our website.
