The Tisza unites the four districts of the Csongrád wine territory: the Csongrád, Kistelek, Pusztamérges and Mórahalom growth areas. Natural conditions of the territory include sandy soil and extreme continental climate with very little rainfall. Wines of the area mature with high grades of sugar due to the great amount of sunshine. Typical white wines include Olaszrizling, Rajnai Rizling and Muscat Ottonel while characteristic reds of the area are Kékfrankos, Zweigelt, Kövidinka, Kadarka.
