In the mountain ranges the richest in natural caves (there are 1100 known caves there) conditions are ideal for wine growing. At present the Bükk wine growing territory grows almost exclusively white varieties with Olaszrizling, Chardonnay, and Leányka on the lead, only Kékfrankos representing reds. The territory has outstanding potentials in tourism or wine tourism with excellent spas like Bogács. Spectacular sights of the territory include cellar rows cut in tufa at Cserépfalva.
